PiQ Potential

In the early eighties, a small print shop in the centre of Canada developed a unique idea for the North American education market – day planners for students. Although the idea of a time management journal wasn’t revolutionary, the concept of making it accessible, en masse, with school customization, at a reasonable cost… was. The result was immediate buy-in from educators, students and parents alike. Decades of product innovation and marketing later had helped the student day planner and journal market grow to millions of North American students.

The company formerly known as Premier School Agendas produced these very first school planners and after years in the business was eventually sold. Now the original owners are back. Their goal: harness their rich history and experience in this educational space, rebrand and launch their products back into market, eliminate any brand confusion with past product lines, differentiate themselves from the competition and show the world that they’re more than just a planner company.

Introducing PiQ… energetic, simple, fun, and totally unique to the market. PiQ offers a wide range of products for students, educators and families alike; all of which work to instil planning skills while focusing on key areas in student development such as character and performance, personal discovery and aspiration, studying and testing, employability and post-secondary opportunities; and environmental and social responsibility.

Born from the three circles in the PiQ word mark, these loveable PiQ critters were created to put emotion into the brand and help them market their products to administrators, principals, teachers and of course students.

“Rebranding a company with a 40-year history was a scary, stressful prospect for us. But within days of working with Todd, his leadership, along with extraordinary passion, originality, creativity, and skill, showed us we were in good hands! He took great care to understand the heart of our business and produced a new brand that has generated great excitement within the marketplace and our team. Todd took every bit of our original stress and fear and turned it into excitement for a fresh start. Now, our company is positioned to stand out in our space for years to come!”
