Nisichawayasihk Cree Nation is a culturally rich First Nations community and Achimowina is the publication acting as the nation’s voice. The Cree name Achimowina means ‘stories’ and reflects deep connections with their traditions, beliefs, lands, and people. While Nisichawayasihk means ‘where three rivers meet’ and is symbolized in the wordmark in combination with the all important medicine wheel.

Australian born artist Adam Rasmussen specializes in stainless steel sculptures. His work pays homage to his love of sharks and the sea. These thoughts are combined to create the letterform of a cap ‘A’ forming the illusion of a shark fin cruising through the sea. The name Conexus and this simple graphic type treatment were developed to help reinforce how shared values and social responsibility can make a meaningful difference and inspire clients and communities to achieve their financial goals.
Dupont Constructive Interiors specializes in commercial interiors focusing on steel stud framing, insulation and drywalling. This logo represents a top view of a building floor schematic, showing both the steel metal studs and the finished white drywalling which form the completed wordmark.
The Excelus Financial logo uses a stylized butterfly, a deep and powerful representation of life. The butterfly in the wordmark replaces the ‘x’ and represents positive transormation. It is also placed in an atypical position, rising above the other letterforms. Many cultures associate the butterfly with our souls, and as a symbol of resurrection. This electric logo included a spinning ferris wheel with the lower half representing a set of smiling teeth that literally lit up.

The result is a perfectly designed and consummately built deck that captures a client’s character and can enrich their life for years to come.
Focus Fitness sports a massive facility featuring the latest exercise and sports conditioning equipment, and is a one stop shop for hockey training and can accommodate athletes from all levels of fitness and performance. This logo incorporated a hockey stick that transforms into a star and was the original mark prior to being a part of the Winnipeg Jets hockey club.
Green Choice Insulating specializes in new and retro-fit construction, offering eco-friendly insulation options. A symmetrical leaf and house silhouette combine to imply environmental solutions and use the leaf veins to represent the insulation reaching every part of the home. Captain Comfort was created to help promote super performance and sustainability.
Hamiota Feedlot takes great pride in nurturing not only the cattle, but the industry itself. Their focus is the health, nutrition and living conditions of the animals they tend, as well as an all-natural, no hormones approach. A serif letterform acts as the facility’s ‘brand’. The bottom half shows feeding cattle while the top half resembles a sunny horizon implying bright beef futures.
Hidden River Bed & Breakfast is nestled in Southern Manitoba and acts not only as a place to stay and eat but a place to host events as well. A comforting sun rises and echoes in the reflection of water to imply the river close to its location.
Into the Blue is no ordinary fish-store. Their passion for education and sustainability of aquaculture was at the heart of their identity. Letter forms were specifically designed to morph from barren structures to living organic shapes representing water, fish, invertebrates, and corals, evoking the energy and life inherent in a healthy reef.

Their work in the self-service marketplace includes product information, museum, exhibition, wayfinding, contests and games for clients like Ikea, General Motors, Mattel and even Ripley’s. The logotype mimics a finger touching the screen and the explosion of engagement that happens thereafter.

Each destination logo is created recognizing individual achievement while inspiring team performance and goals.
Kississing Lake Lodge
CANADA’S ULTIMATE 5-STAR FISHING ADVENTURE
Kississing Lake Lodge is a premier fishing lodge and outfitter located in Northern Canada known for 5-star service and fishing for northern pike, walleye and lake trout. This simple word mark is reminiscent of retro angler magazines and includes a custom 5-Star lure based on the classic Len Thompson 5 of diamonds spoon.
Makeup Dolls was meant to be double as both a makeup academy and retail outlet for cosmetic products. A divaesque approach was taken to mimic lights from around a mirror representing your star quality, while a cheeky kiss replaced the letter ‘O’ to give plenty of attitude. Unfortunately, this logo hit the cutting room floor with a name change.
Mature Women’s Centre meets the health needs of women as they move through the menopause transition. This logo reinforces the nurse-managed model of care which emphasizes health promotion and disease and disability prevention from a physical, cultural, emotional, and spiritual perspective.

A brain that doubles as a maze supported their problem solving mission and an ‘uncommon sense’ every smart business wants on their side.
Pipestar International manufactures and bends high density polyethylene piping for a large variety of business sectors including the mining, water, waste, oil and gas industries. Their unique ability to manufacture and special order any size and angle possible made their logo solution simple; bend pipe into a star.

Joel Ott’s successful company DeckWorks, garnered him enough interest in moving from custom decks and home renovations to expand into a larger market. Ott Construction Group brings the same focus of craftsmanship in designing and building decks to the corporate construction field.

The square in the letter ‘o’ represents data that transforms into the dot of the ‘i’ representing a person. This transformation speaks to making complex software systems management simple.
Rainbow Trout Ranch is a dude ranch combining Colorado Rockies splendor with northern New Mexico enchantment and offers wild west adventure, horseback riding and family activities for all ages. The Conejos River flows right through the ranch boasting fantastic rainbow trout fly-fishing; making it a natural for subject matter for this logo.
The Regulators Dive Club
The Regulators Dive Club already had a funky name and was looking for something a bit different for their club courses and events. This fun pirate motif was fasioned with the diver’s head and mask as a skull and crossbones made from the tanks and fins, while the letter ‘O’ acts as the regulator. Of course it looks great on classic pirate black but the mark was made to go on any colour making it flexible for different dive trips & events year to year.

Studio 11 is an award winning recording studio and artist development facility. The word mark emulates a volume dial symbolizing “turning it up to eleven” idiom from the movie ‘This Is Spinal Tap’, where an amp’s volume knob is marked from zero to eleven, instead of the usual zero to ten, symbolizing taking something to the extreme.
